Doug Hallyburton was born and raised in Burke County.  After graduating from East Burke High School and Appalachian State University, he moved away from Burke County for 20 years.  He returned in 2002 and began his teaching career at Heritage.  He taught Language Arts and Computers and coached soccer and wrestling.  He began his career in Administration in 2013, serving at Walter Johnson and Table Rock.  He and his wife have two adult sons.
He is very excited about the opportunity to return to what he considers his home school.  Doug is looking forward to working with the staff, students, parents and community.
